Piggyback side effects?? and breathing problem !

Post by k3nny »

Hi,

just back from a tune shop, they reckon i could use a piggy back computer to increase HP and throttle response of my pug.

last midnight, i went on a 3 car race on the freeway. 2.0 galant '96, my 99 2.0L 406, and '03 2.3 honda accord. guess what, .... my pug was catching up with #2 car (galant) like an old lady suffering a lung disease.

everytime i slammed on the throttle, the engine ... instead of increasing it's rev. it decreases and losing it's power. i must release the pedal first and tap it slowly to gain enough rpm to switch gears. REALLY FRUSTATING !!

guys, have any of you ever installed piggy back? i know how it works, but don't know the side effects. will it broke my ECU ?

and what's the possible causes of my 'sudden power loss' when i slammed on the gas pedal ?

cheerz.
