after all the guessing and replaceing parts the garage called 2day and said its the wireing beetween the lift pump and the front so a temp fix is a constant live feed to the pump has any1 heard of this happening b4?

No, but there's always the possibility of wiring damage/corrosion or bad connectors. Has it cured the problem?

I had this on a HDi 90 Xsara - on that the wire went directly from fuse to lift pump. so you could get it going by connecting a perm. live to that end of the fuse holder via a spade connector.

Eventually proved an open cct in the loom, never found it, just connected the bits that were supposed to be connected together with another bit of wire.

it will b getting done on friday but i think i will b selling the car as i feel the car has brought nothing but bother so will see how things go.
