hi guys decided to have a look for split wires on anything that was fuel related and guess what i found to was just the plastic coverin that was broken but the 2 wires wer touchin its a green connector that plugs into a black box with a fuel line at each end what is this

also the connector looks as if its covered in soot from bein burnt i have wrapped electrical tape round both wires so there not touching

Could you make the pic any more blurred? It's not anything that I recognise, maybe a tuning box thingy. What's written on it?

it was done on my fone sorry but am no photographer
its not a tuning box as i have one of these
it must be something for the fuel to run back to the tank

I *think* your car's a 110 HDi, same as mine, although I'm not sure of the year. I can't see anything there that looks like that on mine, not even the connector

Wouldn't be the fuel heater would it?

According to the write-up, mine's got one that works below about -3C, but I've no idea where it is or what it looks like. Guessing other HDi's will have one too?

I'm not sure if it would make much difference in this weather if it was working - but - where's the power from it coming from? Odds are the ecu, that's going to do something surely. Cook it? Take power from elsewhere? But only when it's hot?? Reheat, not preheat

well the strange buzzing noise has stopped aswell now so far the cars starting ok
