think my 1997 1.9TD is running a little rich , plus idles at 1000 revs which I think might be a bit fast.

Can someone point me in the right direction ? pics would be helpful as well if possible

I don't think it's possible for them to actually run rich like a petrol, although it is possible for them to chuck unburned fuel out the exhaust.

Seems like there's some spring that breaks on the fast idle device on the Bosch - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8275&start=0&hilit=fast+idle - might be worth investigating.

Both worked for me, DP - but yours worked quicker, despite having to all the way to Poland and all. :shock:
