Not picked my new 406 up yet but gonna get some basic service parts ready to do the job. I was in Asda today and they had some Mobil S 10W40 Semi Synthetic oil, reduced from £22 down to £10, so I grabbed it......will this be OK for my 53' 2.0 HDi 110?

I've used 10W40 or 15W40 semi synth diesel in my last 150k of HDi miles. (Don't know if the diesel / turbo diesel bit means owt, but it can't hurt).
