Unplugged the blue plug, took it for a spin round the block and the car felt shite. No real boost, and at 3k didn't want to rev anymore. Plugged egr back in and its pulling strong again. Just found it weird because most people rave about disconnecting the egr on the hdi's
I assume that if ti was in limp mode it would be the same as other cars I've driven in this mode, warning lights on and beeps from dash etc? None of that though just felt flat and rubbish really, turbo spooled up but not as aggressive as it does with it plugged in
Nope, the blue one as a diagram somewhere showed on either here or tdoc. I just don't get it? May take off the intake hose and L pipe to see if anything is coked up at the weekend.
I`m trying to do it to a 1998 1.9TD but cant find the plug to remove ........ any help welcome

it was a waste of time, it meant that the whine when i turned the car off which i assume (correct me if im wrong) is the thingy that keeps the turbo from seizing or blowing up or something (probably very wrong), so i plugged it in and am happier about the whine of some motor staying on for a while after the car is off, if anyone can confirm that that whine is something to do with the turbo please say. But in terms of performance no nothing at all, a good service is better
c`mon guys , wheres the damn plug for the EGR on a D8 1.9TD 1997 ?? done it on my 306 no probs ; just want to sort it on the 406

i think its in the thread 10 second mod, where someone initially discussed taking it out of a hdi which is very accessable, and then on a d8 which is just as accessable but not as noticeable.
