Clutch slip gone

Some of you regulars will know that my 406 has been laid up for a while with an immobiliser fault, now its back on the road I have noticed that the clutch slip that was there whenever it was in the power band has completley gone. Yes gone! and I have been ragging it
It has now done 600 miles since so that must rule out rust on the good old dmf.
Has anyone got any theorys?
Maybe a rest is as good as a change.
Since it has been laid up the EML is permanatley on and it was going into limp mode at both ends of the rev counter, I have temporarily cured it by deactivating the 3rd piston on the HP pump. Too much pressure I assume but it will have to wait til after the mot - never a dull moment with a pug eh!
