Can anyone recommend something that can be mixed with the diesel to help clean the injectors.
Do these mixtures really work or are they a waste of money?
The engine is an HDI 90.

They work very well, especially if you pour the stuff directly into the diesel filter housing.

I use Wynns, the one in a tin the size of a coke can, it costs about 6 quid, the very best one is Forte, but this can cost more than a tenner and up to 18 quid depending on where you buy it.Millers diesel clean is very good too.

My local mechanic told me that using cleaner was more effective when fuel tank down to 1/4 tank or less otherwise gets diluted too much , anyway us bio users dont have such a great need for it , the bio being cleaner running

Well, this mechanic of 40 years experience believes that fitting the injection cleaner directly into the filter housing is by far the most effective way of using it.

i agree with this method.
on the flip side, since its main ingredient seems to be kerosine i do wonder if a 10 second flush or a pint in the tank can actually make any difference at all for most injectors
has anyone got any data to prove otherwise on an engine that doesnt have an obvious problem?
