Also a 136 bhp file he's asking for is not "remapped" but simply with FAP removed. If he wishes, he can even read the ECU file from his car, send it to Doggy, who would then "remove" the FAP from the file using "ECU Safe" program and flashing the file back to the car.

Simples.

Not bad at all, Phil, the forum is an owner's club and most people don't look for one of those unless they've got problems. I would bet that this is how we've got as many members as we have.

Hope you can get your remap sorted out - though I'd recommend trying the 180HP deFAP map as well (don't just stick with the 136HP map) as it is supposed to make the car a lot more fun to drive.

Phil,

You should be able to send PM's once you have ahd two posts 'vetted' by the mods IIRC, so should be OK now, but I'll send you one anyway. 8)

hello there,
there is one interesting thing I have discovered with my Peugeot Planet 2000.
There is ability to disable complete FAP system in BSI.

If you remove complete FAP system with ECUSAFE while you have faulty additive level sensor,
there will still be error in Global computer test if there are some errors in additive tank.
That means that ECUSAFE did not remove all possible links in binary file...

After disabling FAP system in PP2000 there is no more error about faulty additive level sensor.

Maybe disabling FAP system with PP2000 is one more different way to remove FAP system (for those guys that have pp2000 and do not have Galetto...)

That's interesting, Srdan, well spotted! I'm 99% certain disabling the FAP in the BSI won't stop the engine ecu going into limp mode etc. It has been tried, before the wonders of Ecusafe were discovered.

I do think you're right about getting rid of the additive ecu generated fault codes though, so I'll give it a try. 8)

Hi to all,
I am new on this forum, I am honored that I can attend the forum.
I have Peugeot 406 2,2 HDI estate, year 2002, 360.000 km, with this problems (problems with DPF filter and limp mode).
Everything seem to be OK, sorry if I ask stupid question, but do I have to remove the content from the catalyst like from the DPF filter?
Thank you in advance.
Sorry on my bad english, I use Google translator.

Best Regards

Hi
I am new here

Thinking of de-frapping, knock out the DPF and remap the ECU on my 807 and need help with where to start and what hardware/software I should use or have access to :)

Since I am a newbie, I cant send PM to anyone, so I am bald enough to just start throwing questions out in here :cheesy:

Any ideas, anyone?

I have done the fap myself. I used a self service ramp and took the innads out myself.

It is a right ballache and I recommend a proper mansory drill.

Finchy at the 406coupe club can do it for around 120 quid and a remap but is booked until october.

I used hdi tuning for my remap due to issurs in past with free remap. The thing you might find is the 806 is a rare car so might be slightly different.
