Hello, ive recently bought a 1996 406 executive with the 2.0turbo engine and im having some issues....

1) occasianally the idle fluctuates and almost stalls, ive read cleaning the icv may help.
2) when starting the car from cold it runs fine, once its warmed up after a couple of miles, if i turn it off and restart the "K" light illuminates and i get a restriction of power....this happens Pretty much all the time, but as soon as its left overnight its fine until it gets warm, ive also noticed that the fuel consumption has increased since the light has been coming on ?

Any ideas will be appreciated

Thanks

Mine does exactly the same. I think it's possibly the MAP sensor but I haven't really knuckled down to troubleshooting it yet.

Cheers for that, cleaned out the icv and the "K" went off for a couple of days idle was better, then yesterday it came back on !!
Cleaned it out again but the light is still on and the idle has gone funny again.

However this light has a pattern to it, first thing in the morning it would stay off, until the engine was turned off and restarted, then the light would stay on no matter what, until either the engine was dead cold or the next morning again. If it disconnect the battery it will upon starting it will go off whilst cranking but as soon as the engine fires it comes back on ! :(
