pug 406 2.0 petrol 1999 excutive estate

hi
i have been having problems with tick over jumping up and down + cuts out sometimes.I have changed the plugs and replaced coil pack but still no diffrence.
can any body come up with any other ideas.

Just had a similar problems sorted at garage. He clean all the breather pipes on the engine and carb, now no problems. Mine is a 406 '97' 1.8 petrol. The pipes were all full of oily deposits from over the years.
