406 90 hdi starting problem when warm

Hi I'm after some advice
I have a starting problem with my 2002 406 90 hdi.
The problem is this. It starts fine in the morning, when you turn it off when its warm it will start up straight away but if you were to leave it for 10 mins or so it then has a very long crank time before it even entertains the thought of starting. once started it runs fine. Any ideas??
It has been sugested that I should change the leak off pipes on the injectors as they may be perished and when warm could be letting air into the fuel system. does this sound likley
thanks in advance for your help
