Lowering suspension

Post by tux2006 »

Looking at lowering my '06 just wanted peoples opinion on the best suspension kits to get?

I'm on a buget so coilovers are out the question lol :frown: so just normal suspension I want to go as low as reasonably possible but not so low I can't get through the macdonalds drive through!

Also is there any kits with shorter springs at the rear to give a more balanced lower look? because obviously the rear is rather high

any recomendations would be appriciated :D apart from people persuading me not to lower it lol I'm going for looks over comfort :P

I lowered mine 40mm and that is about as far as i will go as when i go over speed bumps i have just enough clearance. The last set of lowered springs i had sagged with age and i had 65mm lower on the front and about 60mm on the rear and what a pain that was.I had to go over bumps on a angel and at 10 mph,not good in Northants.I would just stick with 40mm and if you look on ebay you can find a set for around ?75

40mm on the front and 60mm on the rear with some "selex shortened body adjustable shox available from Ecosse for ?220 approx" that will sort you right out !
