Hi, I just got this 406 (2000 sedan, V6) and it's equipped with the electronic damping control.
Press a button and it stiffens, that's fine.
However, the stiffness varies also by itself, when the button is not pressed, and I can't seem to figure out when. So does anyone know under what conditions the shock stiffness changes automatically? Vehicle speed? Gas pedal position? Detected shock movement?
And another thing I would like to know, is whether I can safely upgrade the rims/tires from the stock 205/60/R15 to a larger rim combination or not? Would that electronic damping thing go haywire if the wheels were stiffer? Or would the shocks wear much sooner? I wouldn't like that to happen, because I assume they aren't cheap to replace.
If anyone has got this system on their Pug, i'd be grateful for any other tips or tricks.
