I'm after a basic code reader for my year 2000 H.D.I.
I believe the E.C.U. connection to be under the bonnet although ive not had time to hunt this down, nothing in a haynes manual,no surprise there.
Anyone ???

Re: Code reader
Basic code readers don't seem to work very well, if at all, on HDi's. Only certain solution is Peugeot's own Lexia / Peugeot Planet 2000 interface. (Chinese clone about £150 on eBay, search for 'Lexia 3').
The diagnostic connector is behind a pop-out cover next to the headlight height adjuster control.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Thanks mate,i'll take a look for one,i don't suppose theres an easy fix to put out the engine management light ??? there is nothing wrong with the car now so i just need the fault clearing/light out.dogslife wrote:Basic code readers don't seem to work very well, if at all, on HDi's. I read on a post here that it would cancel/reset after a half a dozen cycles of the ignition but this has not happened but could on some as nobody disagreed.

Re: Code reader
If the fault is clear, the EML may go out after several fault-free, 'journeys'. You have to have the engine running for some minutes without a problem, a few times over.....
