Hi all,

My 2003 hdi 90 has got the shakes!

When cold at idle it is slighty shaky but when driving in 4th/5th gear at around 1500 rpm with light pressure on the throttle i.e just keeping at a steady speed, it really does shake the whole car. This stops when you apply more pressure to the throttle or come off completly.

Does this sound like the mounts have gone or something else? My garage tld me to try some injector stuff but to me it seems more than that.

ah you trying to get 100 mpg?

does the engine sound like its running ok ??

if it is running fine then it sounds like mount

probably the bottom one

Open the bonnet and press the throttle and see how much the engine moves to assess engine mounts

Engine sounds fine, how much would I expect to pay for the mount replacing?

mountin brackets range from £20 to £55 depending on which one it is

I have exactly that "feature".
Used to be OK down to about 1300.
Engine mounts are fine.
I think that's just the way it is.
