hi everyone. aproblem is bugging me with my 2.0 hdi estate,in the last few weeks there is alot of condensation on all of the windows, mainly the front windscreen.the front passenger carpet is soaking wet.but the footwell seems dryish, ive checked the coolant level over the last couple of weekends and the level has not dropped to cause me to think the heater matrix was leaking.ive also repaced the pollen filter.the old one that i removed was very dirty.but was not wet,any ideas. best regards tony

Changing the pollen filter can only help. While you are in there, check if the recirculation flap is working properly. If these break and get stuck closed, this can cause misting up due to the lack of fresh air circulation. Take out the pollen filter and you should be able to shine a torch down the hole and see the fan blades. Start the engine, turn on the fan and you should see it turn. If the flap is shut, open it with your fingers or a screw driver and jam it open. I used a small self tapping screw for this.

The other thing is how is your air con? Mine tends to steam up more when the air con needs a service.

Good luck, Richard.

if the carpets are wet you need to check the door seals ..

also take the doorcards off and check the seal is in place, quite common if sum1 has tore it off the door and not put it back on , if you remove doorcards you will see a foam type seal . check its sealed properly to the door

If you have a sunroof, check you don't have a blocked drain.
