auto box t reg 406

hi my car has just started changing down unbidden on the motorway goes like this... 70 mph gear box shifts down revs increase tp 4500 instanlty changes up and settles then seems to happen randomly but if i go over 80 it doesnt happen. any ideas anybody? many thanks in advance

does it do it at steady speed and foot still, auto boxes gear down if you press peddle

My auto did that a few times, I just thought it was the kickdown, abeit coming in a bit premature, I used to get annoyed as it would'nt change down when I wanted it to, In the end I sold it as I just did'nt get on with the auto box
