I bought a Galletto 1260 clone a few months ago but the software I have appears not to work anymore. I am using a new laptop with Windows 7, and have tried running it in compatibility mode using the recommended Windows XP Service Pack 2. This got me a read of my ECU (crashed at 100%) but still got a read. Problem is I cannot get my ECU HW & SW numbers to find a map, and even if I did I would be a bit reluctant to try and write the file for fear of bricking my ECU.

So what I'm asking is, does anyone have a working copy of the Galletto 1260 clone software they could email me or have a link to where I can download it to get it working again. I can run it in compatibility mode as I don't think the software will work straight on Windows 7.

If you've still got a copy of WinXP, then download a piece of virtualization software, like Sun VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org), which lets you install Windows XP in a "virtual PC".

Then when you've got your virtual XP PC running, install the Galletto software on the virtual PC. 100% compatibility.

That's what I wanted to do, but I don't have a copy of XP and as I'm on Windows 7 Home Edition I cannot use the XP software for free. As money is a bit tight at the moment I cannot afford to upgrade to windows professional to take advantage of the XP running

download XP from torrent.

no you dont need a product key.
most of them on torrent are fine .
just search for good comments on the download before you download it.
all them versions are allready cracked and pass the genuine microsoft test.

once you download one from torrent burn the img tag to disc and away you go ... when you get to the product key just click next and leave it blank

Matt, I still have a copy of your original ecu file - HW: 0281010248, SW: 1037359161

If you PM me a direct e-amil address, I'll try to send you the Galletto software, but I don't know if it'll be too big, (about 10.6 Mb on the DVD).
