i have got a 406 glx 2.0 and the exhaust is blowing i have checked the exhaust under the car as it sounds like its blowing around the centre box so i tuck the exhaust off from the cat and checked it and the exhaust is in mint condiction and there is no hole or cracks. so put back together and still blowing so i am stuck at where to check next..................

Welcome to the club! :)
I reckon this is the flexible joint where the pipe joins the manifold; you've got a couple of bolts that pass through springs and the springs get tired over time. You can bodge it by putting some washers behind the bolt head (I've done this) or get a replacement kit from a factors for around £12.

Get someone to try blocking the end of the exhaust with a wad of rag, it should exaggerate any blow and make it easier to spot.
