Hose unplugged but I don't know where to put it

Post by tvbarker »

While making an oil/filter change this morning I spotted a random hose lose. I'm a total novice and was hoping someone could point where its meant to put into. You can see it hanging on the images below. When lose it drops just right of the oil filter. The hose comes out of the object in the top right of the second image.

The car seems to have been running fine without it for a while.

Any help would be fantastic.

Cheers,
Tom

2001 406 HDi

Looks like it's the drain for the fuel filter, so it's not meant to go anywhere.

Remove it, and store it.

The next time you need to drain your fuel filter re-attach it, it simply pushes onto a nozzle on the bottom of the fuel filter drain plug.
