oil residue on bulk head,

My cars soaked in oil on the bulk head,
oil level is fine,
any ideas what couid cause this ?
the oil is not wet and theres no oil smells in the car sugesting oil leak

If the residue is in the area of the oil filler cap you need a new oil filler cap.
It's very common for the oil filler cap to leak on a HDi.

were abouts on the bulk mate ?
are you sure its oil ? my car once flicked grease from shafts all over place cos the dick who did my clutch didnt put something back on proper.

its all over the bulk head its thick stuff its always been there but iwas just wondering what causes it,?
icleaned all the inner wings etc the other day and it looks nice and shiny under there but then inoticed the bulk head is caked in black gunk, ive checked all the pipes no leaks and it dont drip oil

arrh its just dawned on me what it is or couid it be,
when the last owner /my mate had it the exhaust went and he was running it for a while with it all blowing
couid it be all the Shrite its blown out from a leaky zorst ?

Sorted the problem today,
the rocker cover was loose so itook it all of cleaned it up and sealed it ,
strangely its not been using any oil,
i also noticed that if you look under the starter motor you can put your finger in and feel the fly wheel,
shouid there be a guard on them
looks like iwill be putting my undertray back on to stop stuff spraying up there
