can someone please tell me what is the best engine oil for my 406 2.0l 90 hp ,its covererd 191,000 mls rest regards tony

Standard oil for that beasty is the good old 10/40 semi synthetic, dont bother swapping up to fully synth it can cause more problems than its worth.

peugeot recommend total quartz, pick it up from the dealers for about 20 quid, but any good make such as castrol or mobil will do the job, 10/40 semi synthetic. with the miles its done too i would be changing it more regular than the service schedule states. nothing better for ya engine than regular oil changes

ive looked on halfords web site is castrol MAGNATEC any good for this

In my drowsy opinion you are just paying extra for the name with that stuff, i used to use Fuchs gear from GSF, 'bout half the price and a damn fine oil in my opinion, i suppose it depends how much Halfrauds are asking for it and how often you are gonna do it.
as long as its up to spec then any modern semi synth will do.
now back to my nap..............

i use total quartz 7000 10w40 semi oil
