Cooling Fans

my cooling fans will not stop :evil:

engine is running at normal temp. but fans will not stop when ignition is on.

any ideas ?

Coolant temp sensor dead, wiring disconnected, relay stuck closed.

could it be number 14 ? thats the temp sensor. this is located at the side of my fuel filter housing. were the main pipe runs into the radiator

I have taken it from the junk yard for the 2 quids :mrgreen:

change the relay ?

it can only be sensor. relay .

My problem is that the cooler fans don't start. They turn on only when the AC is on.
If i take out temperature sensor, they start. So i just simply turn the AC on when i see temperature raising up :supafrisk:

do u often see your diesel engine temperature raising up to 100 oC? I dont, so the problem isnt as big, as it can see :)

no my temp NEVER goes higher than 92.

but even at 75 my fans are running.

Do the fans stop when you disconnect the sensor?
