Air Flow Meter question?

Hi folks. Seem to have traced my overfuelling issue. If I unplug the Air Floe Meter all runs fine. Question is, is it safe to run around with it unplugged for a few days? And can I clear the codes by leaving the battery off for a couple of days or does it require to plug it in to a reader. Don't think there is a problem with the sensor as it was fine up till I had the brake servo and Vac pump changed over. Hmmm??

Anyone clear this up for me please.

Thanks in advance folks.

i would leave it plugged in even tho it is faulty.

its there for a reason. unpluging it will probably make the overfueling worse

thats if it was my motor. 8)

Might just have been a bit of contamination / oxidisation of the connector contacts - surprising how often you can 'fix' these by disconnecting / reconnecting a few times.

Regarding fault codes, you can't clear them without the reader, but with this type of fault, several fault-free journeys will normally turn off the EML light.
