Drain and Replace Coolant

I used to drain and refill the coolant on my 306 from time to time - just to be on the safe side like. Problem was on refilling they say you have
to have some kind of improvised header tank above the rad. What I did was simply to fill up until it stopped then drive round the block until the
rad light comes on, stop immediately and keep topping up that way. Not the recommended way I know, but always seemed to work. Any suggestions for the
406 2.0 HDI?

there is usually a tap on the bottom of the radiotor. open it let it all run out.

close tap and simply re-fill via coolant tank cap. bleed the system correctly .
