Strange, it does for me

inever use Easy start its Bad,
the Ether can turn your car into a Sniff junkie they can get Hooked on easy start and become lazy starters ,
iuse Brake cleaner for starting derv engines people might laugh but its better than easy start

...and in a surprise change to the habit of a lifetime, Doggy hi-jacks the thread back to the original problem.
Phil, is the cranking speed is OK? (if it's too slow the ecu wont fire the injectors, hence no fuel - no ignition, till you add some Easy Start).
Next most likely suspect is the in-tank lift pump - can you hear it run for 4 or 5 seconds when you turn on the ignition?
Might also be an idea to pop one of the quick release couplings on the fuel filter and check if you've got fuel there, the next time it won't start.

Thanks, tank lift pump is working fine and engine turns over quickly,i'll take a look at the filter tomorrow and see if full pulling through

thanks for that

Don't know if it would make a difference, but it might have absorbed water out of the atmosphere.
Have you tried draining some from the filter bowl to check?
Water can cause the filter element to twist and block. After laying it up for so long, it wouldn't hurt to change the filter, just not sure if you should try to use this tankful up first?

The other thing to consider is that fuel lubricates the HP pump. If you manage to turn the engine for a significant period without fuel, it can wreck the pump, then bits of pump wreck the injectors and so on.....
