Sorry mate, no joy on the picture?
But firing order is 1-3-4-2 number 1 cylinder is flywheel side according to the manual!
What is it you want a picture of specifically? if its for the camshaft then you will need to refer to the 205 manual as the durations are longer, so you'll prolly find that the timing holes don't matter that much if the lobes are much wider... time to get a pro in !

yep exactly im suprised if you have bent a valve, i have tried to bend valves on my old engine (just experimenting) and you physically cant by turning the engine by hand (well unless you get brutish with scaffold bars etc). also due to the low compression ratio you get a heck of a lot of room to make a mistake. off the top of my head you have atleast 2.5mm at tdc on deck heightNiz406 wrote:Bent Valve..... did someone turn it over by the starter when it was first put back together and not by hand ??? lol

well dont go paying silly money for a head, the turbo head is exactly the same as any xu10j2, so any 2l 8v psa engine. the onlydifference is what cam it uses.Foxy wrote:messing about sooo bloody much with the timing kind of forgot the timing pin was still in the cam pulley..... meh
and as the 2l 8v is common as muck i would not want to pay more than £50 for a complete head. see if you can get one withthe inlet manifold too and rob the throttle body off it

Got a spare head mate, gonna stick the bent valve head back on teh spare car and use that head.
How does yours idle with the 205 cam in, Im pretty sure the firing order was back to front because it idled like a pig and had no power despite plenty of boost.
Ahh well, at least now it gets a new head gasket and a head with 20k miles less than the block
