Hi there this is my first post on here and i am looking on some advice for my turbo 406 ....
The clutch pedal has a lot of play in it and does no return properly i have to sometimes lift it up half of the way with my foot.
I have noticed what looks like clutch fluid on the slave cylinder on the back of the pedal (i think this is what it is) does it sound like it is gone to you guys??
Also how do i go about fixing it im pretty competent at working on cars being a engineer im good with a spanner.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as this is my first pug and im a bit stuck.

Hi mate welcome to the forum,
check on top of the gear box and see if you see any fluid leaking,


couid be anything from it needing bleeding /leak. /clutch low/ return spring ?? bit of a Guessing game sorry

Hi and welcome

This appears to be a common fault....If you have a fluid leak you will have the pedal sticking down.

The system is fully sealed and needs to be replaced as a full unit....master cylinder/slave cylinder/piping.
