At least two - Bosch and Mahle, and I have a suspicion the D8 and early D9 had something different again.

the one ive took out is a brand called Mahn or mann or something,
the 1st one the car shop gave me is a Mahle small hole
the 2nd one is Mahle big hole and bottom of its is slotted came with rubber seal, no metal one,
it fitted well tho,

there adamant mine as the wrong housing but its the original one ,
there was no metal particles iwas glad to see 8)

Iwill use a differnt car shop in future idont think theyve got a clue about french cars :(

Well, I've had a squint on ye old Service Box and this is what it looks like (but I am by no means convinced):

110s had a Bosch filter up to rpo 9001 (July 2001 - com2000) for manuals, rpo 9337 (June 2002) for automatics (why?), thereafter they had Mahle.

90s always had Mahle.

136s are Bosch until rpo 9001 and then Mahle.

There's 2 part numbers listed for the Bosch but it's one of those RP things that I've never completely sussed out, although I'm pretty sure the filter housing hasn't changed, just the filter itself. There's only one for the Mahle.

Please let me know if this is balls, ta.

Edit: it probably doesn't matter who made the filter - I seem to recall Mann being a supplier but then it's probably the same thing in a different box anyway. There's always the possibility they tried to sell you one for a TD...

The 110 and the 90s are difernt housings as far as ican see,
the bottom of the housing on mine as a cut out slotted part so only the correct filter wouid fit,

ithink your correct tho itoo think they tried palming me off with a td filter, theyre not cheap either realy £8.99 for abit of paper and plastic :?

oops ididnt look properly
yours is 110,

so as a guess early 2.0 110s have a big filter /slotted part in housing and later ones have small filter,

ialso noticed with the small filter they handed me today it came with a kit in the bag was a seal, and other bits that looked like caps oh and a new drain plug for the housing,

the 2nd one only had a seal no other bits or new drain plug thingy :?
