2.2 petrol radiator change

Post by no2lurch »

My d9 2.2 Sri decided to blow the rad today.

Looking to replace it asap and it looks a fairly easy job except how does the bottom hose come off? The hose clip looks different.

How much are radiators?

Will ones from other models fit?

You've been looking for a project car, you say? Well it's found you :)
There's a few HDI ones from 2.2s on the bay:

Check out how they look and compare to yours, they might be the same. Sorry I can't help you any further :(

Is that the one with the spring clip on it? Pull off the clip, wiggle/pull out the pipe. You might want a new rubber ring for it.

Hold on 133054 - same as 607 & 607 new EW12J4. Not the same as 406 coupé :(

The bottle isn't 100% necessary (had debate with Krešo the mechanic about this one) but it's foolproof and saves having to watch the car all the time to top the expansion tank up as & when.
