Various eurocarparts related questions

Post by OdinEidolon »

Hi all.
My low pressure fuel pump is going to leave me soon. The repleacement part from the dealer is 212€.
I was thinking of getting it from eurocarparts: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peuge ... 5e52c&FPUM
Is it the original/equivalent piece of kit? Will I need anything else? I read on the Haynes I'll need a seal too, will this be included?

As shipping to ITA is 26£, and since I'll have to do a complete service in the next 8000 miles, I was thinking of getting other parts too:
air filter
fuel filter
oil filter
pollen filter
engine oil
injector cleaner

Will all these parts fit? Do I need/want something more? Is something absolutely useless? Something low quality?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about the fuel filter, is yours Bosch or Mahle? I think that one must be for the Mahle as it says RP(0)9002-> (that is com2000)

I've no idea about the oil either, anyone?

So I should get this one?
What's the difference with the 5£ cheaper BOSCH's?

If your fuel filter housing has a plastic ring around the top of the housing, the fuel filter is the first one you listed.

If the housing has a nut on the top of the housing it's the latest one you posted.

The oil you listed is very expensive but fine to use, the Carlube 5w40 fully synthetic stuff is also very good, but a little cheaper....your choice.

The second filter looks like the one I got in error, so I presume it's the Bosch.

This is a Mahle:

That type always has the filter with small holes, the one with the bigger holes is fitted to the ones with a nut on top of the housing.

I always get the name of them wrong  :cheesy:

I'll try to check out the fuel filter. I could just put the VIN in servicebox, do you think that would tell me what I have?

Apart from that, any idea on the other stuff? I especially need to know if I need anything else for the lift pump, as I have to decide if I should buy it from the dealer or get it from the UK. Is the seal included?

Seems like at ECP they do not know if the pump is complete / if it comes with the seal. I'll just get it from the dealer

Service Bx *should* give you the right part (it's not always accurate though)

The seal won't be ridiculously expensive from the dealer's - look it up on Service Box while you're in there

Which? Fuel filter is under mechanical -> engine -> air and fuel supply -> strainer filter priming pump
Lift pump (including seal) is mechanical -> engine -> air and fuel supply -> fuel tank fuel gauge

I realise yours is probably in Italian but if you can't figure these out, log out, change the language to English and log in again - then take a note of the parts numbers, then use them to search in Italian

Argh! I'm late to pick up th' wife

Thanks! Didn't look under the italian translation of "fuel tank small pole".
Argh, the pump is 230€! The seal is only about 3€. I may get the pump from the UK and then buy the seal from the dealer. I hope the pump sold by ECP is complete with the pump assembly!

Sometimes finding stuff in Service Box is somewhere between art and guesswork  If you can get the pump shipped over, then buy the seal from the dealer if it doesn't have one.

You hope the pump comes with the pump assembly? Errr :?
