Noise from cambelt area on hdi

My car is a Y plate 406 hdi 90 with 110k on it.
At around 80,000 in january of this year i had the cambelt, tensioners and bottom pulley replaced at my local garage, using a good year cambelt kit. - i also had the bottom pulley replaced at the same time, although this was replaced again 2 weeks later with a genuine peugeot one at a peugeot dealer as kept making a rumbling noise.
About 5k later a squeek started developing (simular to alternator belt squeel noise) however this was only when cold and always went when warm.
The car has now done 110k and the squeel is still presant when cold - however at this service i left the car overnight to allow the garage to check the noise - which they are saying is from behind the belt covers!! - its annoying as i had everything replaced bar the waterpump!
Any ideas as it looks like i am gonna have to pay for the whole lot again - and get this my local peugeot dealer wants £497 to do it although this would include a water pump too.
