Turbo problem??

Post by pugface406lx »

Hi...on my 2.0 HDI 110 I keep getting an intermittent problem, not sure if its a turbo problem.
When driving it, sometimes it feels lively and picks up its skirts well and pulls well from low revs and on other days it feels incredibly sluggish and pulling away takes a lot of effort almost as if the turbo isnt performing properly, i can hear the usual turbo whistle as it kicks in but there seems to be a definite lack in boost. Also had engine light come on quite a few times and 'limp home mode' ...then after about 10 journeys this clears again. Had the codes read and each time theres one which reads 'Boost Pressure'...no-one seems to know what thats about though.!! I changed the Maff sensor and the denso sensor at the bonnet slam panel, and even the crank sensor in case that was acting up.

It seems a shame as other than this distinct drop off on perfomance its a good car, only got 97k miles on the engine...any one know what the problem is guys?

Cheers

Mine went into Slug mode a few week back,
ichanged the fuel filter and and it was back to its old self,

Might be worth changing it if youve not already done so,
