Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help with this, My 406 seems to leak PS fluid from the top suface of the reservoir cap, not a large amount, but its there after every run.

Im thinking, expansion of the fluid when hot??? If so, i would suppose this is normal?

Any Ideas appreciated!

Cheers!

Mines not as bad but does the same.

I was told it's not normal that the servo leaks, but I didn't even want to know what that would cost to fix...

My old 1998 2.1TD did this for the entire 4 years I had it, always a bit was around the reserviour, but after it got to a certain level, it stopped, so I left it like that.

If you want to pay, get it done, but it did no harm to mine to leave it as it was.

I will just add that I had to top mine up once in all that time. That was my fault for not checking it for about 18 months. The steering started groaning, but after a top up, all was fine for the rest of the ownership.
