Does any1 have guides on how to fit the uprated kit I've got to the 406 (mines 1.8 LX)
I've fitted them before helping my m8s with their lil fiestas and stuff
But obviously the 406 is a much larger car bigger weights/forces I'm fully aware of the dangers involved But im going to do this at college after hours i've been aloud use of the workshop jus wondered as i've never atempted the rear suspension
I got plenty of help but if I had a clear Idea of wot was going on Would be a gr8 help

OK thats so easy !
1 ) Losen Road Wheel Bolts
2 ) Jack up the rear end supporting it on axle stands (make sure the stands are in the right place)
3 ) Remove Road wheels
4 ) Slacken the inner swing arm pivot bolt
5 ) Now place the jack under the spring dish/cup in the arm - pump the jack to compress the spring
6 ) Slacken and remove the Damper mounting bolt
7 ) Slowly lower the jack - swing arm will lower and release damper from mounting
8 ) Remove the spring coil
9 ) ( With the help of an assistant ) inside the car slacken and remove the upper mounting nut and remove the damper ( Remember the sequence of the upper mountings )
10 ) Refit in reverse order ensuring you use the right torque settings and that you prime the new damper by hand first before installing!
Let me know if you need anymore info !

Don't worry about replacing the old nuts, just use some threadlock and torque them up!
As for the fronts follow the below:
1 ) Losen Road Wheel Bolts
2 ) Jack up the front supporting it on axle stands (make sure the stands are in the right place)
3 ) Remove Road wheels
4 ) Slacken and remove the nut securing the tie rod end balljoint to the strut
5) Slacken and Remove the front drop-link upper balljoint (be careful here and use the correct allen key bit and spanner.) from the strut
6) Now whilst the strut is in place loosen the center spring / strut retaining bolt by 1/2 a turn
7 ) Slacken and Remove the lower strut mounting clamp bolt
8 ) Slacken and remove the three upper strut mounting bolts
9 ) Spread the lower strut mounting clamp with a large flat bladed screwdriver or chissle
10 ) Remove the strut complete
11 ) Using a set of spring compressors, compress the spring
12 ) Carefully undo the top spring/strut retaining nut and remove mountings be careful with the spring
13 ) Refitting is a reversal just make sure you prime the struts and compress the spring enough to get the mountings on.
14 ) Apply thread lock to your strut mounting nuts and torque everything up to their specified torque settings
Hope this helps!
