whoops my aircon compressor dropped off

Post by poddack »

if you have had a garage damage your aircon compressor and the lugs break letting it drop off the engine, it is possible to carry on with a shorter belt 1155mm long

Are you making a statement or asking a question?

My mate has taken his air con compressor off and fitted a shorter belt.

The garage damaged it, then the garage can bloody well fix it then, can't they? Damned cowboys. Don't let them get away with sh*t work.

The Lugs for the Air-con comp, are part of the sump,
so theyd have to Replace the sump,

gets me How theyve Managed to break them off, even if they over tightend the bolts, theyd just cross thread surely,
Iwouid ask them to do all the Repairs for free, if its them at Fault keep your Reciept for the Aux belt if youve already replaced it, and hand it too them,

The lugs on the sump are fine, it's the lugs on the pump which are broken, all I can guess is that he mistakenly jacked the engine up using the aircon compressor whilst the engine mount was off.
