Turbo change

It's probably already been answered elsewhere on here, but can a turbo on an HDi been removed with the engine still in the car?

Don't take this as gospel- but I think that'd be difficult if not impossible

I'm not sure about this either, but if you look at frenzy406's post here

it sounds like he changed it in situ?
