I'm gettting a wobble through my wheel... :frown:

It is only slight but once up to about 60-70mph it is very obvious u can actuly see the steering wheel moving side to side but strangely once i hit 80mph everything is smooth again

The wheels are all balanced and tyres are only 2months old

I was thinking could this be something to do with a warped brake? or could it be a bearing problem?

any ideas?....

To eliminate the wheels being out of balance, swap them front to back and test it again.

Wobbly wheels can sometimes be a suspension problem, The FTO I had used to shake at 80 MPH and no amount of balancing would cure it, it turned out to be the suspension top mounts and many other owners found the same.

Try the wheel swap first, you never know a balancing weight may have come off?

hi,

I had the same problem and was fixed when i got two new front tyres, i also got the car four wheel tracked and replaced the rear coil springs as one had broken (best way to check is jack the car up and with you fingers find the end of the spring if it is sharp then you will need a new coil spring)

not sure which of these fixed the wobble on the steering wheel.
