Re: defapped & New file loaded... issues
Does it clear / work OK when you put the original back in?
Suggest you send me a copy of your original ecu file & I'll convert that to defap, (std power only), for the time being.
If you're quick, I might get it done later tonight - (leaving for a long weekend in the morning).

No probs. I should be back Wednesday, working on the house the rest of the week/weekend.
Probably be glad of the distraction.

I think leaving the battery off all day has reset the ecu mate, took her for a good thrashing this morning and no messagesParm wrote:Did u get it all sorted bud? I cud put your old back on n then see what happens

Re: defapped & New file loaded... issues
on some cars yeah, but normally you have to leave it disconnected for a while for the residual power to drain.

How are you disconnecting the battery? every time I disconnect my battery the alarm sets off and I CAN'T stop it. Takes a good 15 minutes (an eternity it seems like) of locking and unlocking the car to sort it!?

ummm i am guessing yours is sensing a voltage drop and activating the alarm, it should only do this if the car alarm is armedHangar18 wrote:How are you disconnecting the battery? every time I disconnect my battery the alarm sets off and I CAN'T stop it. Out of curiosity, do you get any noise or vibration under hard acceleration at low revs in 4th or 5th gear?
