1.9 TD estate exhaust without cat on 2.1 TD Estate?

Hi everyone,
The 406 went in for the MOT today, and well, it didn't fare too well!
Here's the 1.9:

and the 2.1:

Any ideas (or anyone done it before)?

Annnnyway, I was wondering if the non-cat 1.9 TD exhaust pipe would be a straight fit onto the 2.1? I ask because it's cheaper, and would remove the useless cat anyway!Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate
