Hi All

my front pipe/cat has a leak on the flexi part near the manifold and it looks like it has been welded before - i can get a new replacement type approved for around £130 which is ok but i was wandering if it can be fitted without a ramp? i did the middle and rear back along without a ramp but was thinking about actually getting it out below the car if you see what i mean i was wandering if there was enough clearance and wether you can get to the clamp from the front pipe to the manifold from underneath easily enough

thanks

I managed to remove the cat/FAP assembly from my 2.2 HDi, by jacking one side up pretty high & using axle stands.

I expected a fight putting it back on, particularly doing up the clamp at the turbo, but it went on much easier than I expected. Probably more luck than judgement, but I had just enough space to rest the box on my chest and manoeuver it by using my shoulders, letting me use both hands to do the joint up.

Where are you getting your cat from, will? (mine's been patched up too & I think it's days are numbered).
