Interesting XU10J2TE EML Fix

Hi guys,
Haven't been on here for a while due to this and that- but I'm back for a bit ;)
Though I'd clear up a couple of things regarding the XU10J2TE (XU10J2CTE) Engine management light issue that I was suffering from for a while.
The symptoms left me thinking that it was an issue with cooling/sensors since on a cold start and when cruising at high speeds at low revs for a long time- the light would turn off and the car would drive normally (significantly better) again.
Bailes helped me unplug the temperature sensor for the gauge and ECU from the engine and the light went out (406 meeting 2011!! Wooop!
)
This was only a temporary fix, and helped sort the issue in part- but traffic and stop start driving soon bought the light straight back on...
SOLUTION:
On servicing the car- I realised it had the WRONG type of spark plugs fitted for the engine and the oil was buggered. The light hasn't returned- and it drives a bit stronger than before
