I just bought it, P reg Turbo Diesel LX.

Not had change to have a good delve but it seems to have an aircon condensor behind the rad, yet my heating controls exhibit no indication of aircon. I have two dials and two sliders. Am I being stupid?

It is probably the intercooler for the turbo

Which engine - 1.9 or 2.1? If it's a 2.1 it's more than likely the intercooler as discussed, don't think the 1.9 has one

the 1.9 does have an intercooler, infact it shares the same one with the 2.1 and the 2.0 petrol turbo
its one huge intercooler but prone to splitting
