Hello,
Daft Question here but thought id ask for some ideas.
Ive had this car a few months now, and ive been getting a strong Wift of petrol every so often,
checked tank,pipes, filter pipes in Engine bay all are Bone dry,
couidnt find nothing, ive also had 4 other Mechanics look at it, and nothing found,

any ideas?
The cars Mpg is excellent,so its not leaking, seal on cap is good too

ive also had a emisions test done,
CO =(0.16)
HC =14 ppm
Lambada = 1.00
garage rekons thats a + on the emisions side of it so its not emisions related or its it ?

Have u checked under back seat at pump locking ring?

forgot to add the car is not apeugeot its a citreon pic,
tanks sender unit has no access from inside car,

Mmm. Got me stumped then. There's nothin worse than diesel or petrol stink too. Plus it keeps reminding some1 that their money is dripping away.

ive found out what it is,

The breather pipes on the filler neck have snapped off,
citreon Rekon its comon they fail with old age,

so ive got to order a complete filler neck and pipes,
