hi all got my car back after having a new clutch, from mr clutch and i have to say they have done a good job. they rang me to say the release barrings had all gone and i would need a clutch fork and barring guide as well as the whole thing was well damaged. and they charged me £340 all in.
im well happy now to get her back

It's a (90) model so easier than your 110 and quicker

kent i can bet some dollars that the bearing was fine and so was the fork .

mr.clutch have bad reviews all over the internet about ringing their customers and saying "your ? is broke and its going to need a new one" just to get some extra cash off the job

fork ? bearing? (thought this was part of the kit anyway) master and slave cylinders ? there prone for it i beleive

just be carefull with them i will never go to mr.clutch after reading all the bad reviews about them ..

clutch kits are cheap,
there labour prices must be steep

I had a clutch done at Mr clutch.. car was a previous 405 1.9td. On driving the car home the coolant light came on... so i stopped to investigate. I topped it up and drove it to my local garage who told me that when they were doing the clutch they (Mr clutch) must have pulled the gearbox over towards the radiator to get the new clutch in and damaged the radiator... there were two small holes in the rad that matched the shape of the gearbox. so i contacted Mr clutch.. suprise suprise they didn't want to know. Couldn't get a rad from the scrapper so had to pay for a new one.. OUCH!!
AVOID!!!

I had my clutch changed by Mr Clutch nearly 3 years ago, only because I had hurt my back and couldn't do it myself and the clutch was on its last legs. They also beat my local garage by nearly £100. I checked it over afterwards and found that they had sheared off the centre of the 3 studs holding the front of the front undershield on, overfilled the gearbox and did not tighten up the gearbox oil drain nut - it was only finger tight. After reading the Mr Clutch Ts & Cs for the 2 year guarantee, I made sure I had the specified check-ups signed off at the correct mileage to make sure that I kept within their terms. I've had no problems in 25k miles, but wouldn't use them again.
