Engine Coolant Drain Plug?

Post by gumby6371 »

Can anyone point me in the direction of where the coolant drain is on the 1.9td block?

I've flushed the radiator fine, as per Mr Haynes instructions but goes on to say to also flush the engine coolant, step 1 - remove drain plug. Can I find it, can I hell.

Any ideas ?

There are 3 drain plugs in the sump, would they run coolant through the sump to coil the oil sitting in there?

didnt know there was 1 on the block...

how about taking the 2 bleed valves off at the top of the engine ? then running the car (while cold) the water pump should pump all the water out .

i'll give that a go with a hose pipe in the header tank. It should clear any crap out of the system. Thanks Gary
