Hi,
Planning to do the fuel filter on the next service.
Which type do i have and any problems. Is the rusting around the side to worry about?

Any info/advice appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ed

Normal advice here is to buy the whole assembly - the filter cartridge AND the housing as they're a pig to open and risk getting bits into the unfiltered side.

Everything must be clean around the work area, the HP pump is very sensitive to dirt. They used to say that the filter should be changed in a clean environment (makeshift tent, disposable overalls, hairnet :o ) but most just take their time and keep it clean - hence the new housing helps etc.

once a year would be good. my mate often fills drums up with diesel from the pump.

you wouldnt think there was so much sh*t in pump diesel. every drum is full of crap at the bottom. so i change my fuel filter every 6 months, mind you its ok cos my fuel filter only cost's £3
