Hi Pug lovers
This link might come in handy for any one who needs to get their head around the 406 Pug engine.

Can anyone tell me if clanky tapping sound from engine, could be injector? is it worth putting up with the noise or are they on the way out, not leaking, only from my fuel sensor, still leaking , had a new one , still leaked , had it tighten up some more , still leaking ? any ideas? could this of cause the engine to idle just under 2000 revs and low power and the engine management light to come on , this has only happened randomly about four times. The pressure in the fuel rail can get up to 800 bar , very high , so I,m wondering is it down to low pressure and the ECU having a problem with it ?

Hi
About the sound
I had one in my petrol engine, they are the hydraulic tappets, as there might be dirt in or their time is over.
Try to flush the engine and add a fully synthetic oil.
if it didn't go you'll have to change them. for me I bought an additive from LIQUI MOLI, a german lube company, it worked to get rid of the noise, but it's not the solution.
