you may have read earlier that i changed my alternator
before the alternator failed the car has always been faultless
went to work the first time after the alternator change 8 miles no problems
on the way home, nearly home the red stop light illuminated on my dash.
i checked my guages temp was just under 80 where it always was, no oil light illuminated so i assumed a low level somewhere and decided to check in the morning.
when i turned it off the cooling fans kept running for at least ten mins when the key was removed.
i checked all the levels this morning all fine
ran the car ,drove about in it temp got to about 78 and the light came on again turned off and the fans kept going for about ten mins again.
on my last drive around, a good half hour the light didn,t come on but the fans kept running for a good ten mins with the keys removed.
the heater gets red hot, as it always has there are no signs of actual engine overheating
am i missing something?
cheers in advance
